WRTI Valentine's Day Contest Rules

Your pledge or entry made by Sunday, February 14, 2016 could win you a romantic getaway for 2 to the Boscov's Berks Jazz Festival.   The lucky winner will receive:

1.  Accommodations for two (2) at the Courtyard Marriott in Reading, PA for 2 nights, April 8-9, 2016
2.  A pair of tickets to each of the following shows at the Boscov's Berks Jazz Festival:

  • Mavis Staples at the Scottish Rite Cathedral on April 8, 2016
  • Chick Corea & Bela Fleck at the Scottish Rite Cathedral on April 9, 2016
  • The Eric Mintel Quartet at The Doubletree on April 10, 2016

All gifts final, no substitutes, no exchanges.

  1. How to Enter
    1. No purchase, pledge or contribution is necessary to enter.
    2. Submit an entry through our web site at WRTI.ORG between 6:00 PM, Friday February 12, 2016 and 11:59 PM, February 14, 2016. The sweepstakes has a defined period of time for entry as announced on-air and in these rules. All entries must be received within that time period.
    3. Call 1-866-809-9784 during the time period noted above and submit an entry by phone.
    4. Become a member of WRTI, or make a membership contribution to WRTI, during the time period noted above.
    5. Be an active sustaining member of WRTI during the contest period.
  2. Eligibility Restrictions
    1. Employees of WRTI, and their respective families are ineligible.
    2. Limit one prize per household and one entry per person.
  3. Selection of Winner
    1. One (1) winner will be selected.  
    2. No substitution of a cash value prize will be permitted.
    3. If the winner declines the prize, no other prize will be offered.
    4. The winner will be selected at random by a WRTI employee from all valid entries promptly following the close of the entry period.
    5. The winner's names will be posted on WRTI's website by February 18, 2016 for two weeks.
    6. The winner need not be present or listening in order to win.
    7. WRTI will contact the selected winner using the contact information provided in such person's entry. If the winner does not claim the prize within 7 days following notification, or if the winner is for any reason ineligible, a new winner will be drawn and contacted.
  4. Conditions
    1. Payment of all federal, state and local taxes with respect to any prize is the responsibility of the winner.
    2. All tickets are subject to availability and will be available at Tower Theater in Upper Darby the evening of the event.
    3. By submitting an entry to the sweepstakes, the winner(s) agrees to have his or her name, voice or likeness used in advertising or broadcasting material relating to this sweepstakes without compensation.  The winner agrees to execute a prize receipt and certify eligibility prior to release of the prize.
    4. WRTI, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person for tampering with the entry process or who otherwise violates these rules.
    5. WRTI reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the sweepstakes, including the substitution of prizes of equivalent or greater value, which changes will become effective upon announcement.
  5. Copies of Rules
    Copies of the written sweepstakes rules will be available up to 30 days after the end of the sweepstakes at our web site. You may also receive the rules by mail by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to WRTI,1509 Cecil B. Moore Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19121.
