Audience members and musicians will gather at the 23rd Street Armory in Philadelphia on December 3rd for a novel experience. Around 400 performers will play a symphony on broken basses, flutes, clarinets, autoharps, violins and cellos.
The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage has just announced its 2016 grants, totaling more than $10 million to support 53 artists and cultural organizations. The list of grantees includes a wide variety of artistic disciplines and work from major institutions as well as individual artists and community-driven organizations.
