Philly Pops Music Director Peter Nero is Jill Pasternak's guest this week. The Philly Pops 2011 holiday concert series runs from December 14th to 22nd at the Kimmel Center.

Join Jill for a delightful hour with Big Band singer Lynn Roberts. Her career in the "Swing Era" included five years with Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, ten years with Benny Goodman, and four years with Harry James. Roberts appears with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops at the Kimmel Center for The Stage Door Canteen on March 26, 27, and 28, 2010. Peter Nero adds to the fun on Crossover this week.

Jill Pasternak talks to the legendary jazz cabaret singer during an encore broadcast originally aired in June. Maye's career has been multi-faceted, including 76 appearances on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, singing alongside jazz icon Ella Fitzgerald, and performing at jazz clubs in NYC from the Copacabana to Birdland.

Discovered by Steve Allen in a Kansas City nightclub almost five decades ago, she went on to sing for Princess Grace in Monaco, with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops, and at Lincoln Center.
