Ovation Awards

Ten music educators from the Delaware Valley will be honored by the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (PYO) during their Annual Festival Concert at the Kimmel Center on May 31st for "inspiration and outstanding leadership in music education." ***[Go to the bottom of this post for announcement of the 2015 Ovation Award Winner.]

The Philadelphia Youth Orchestra and Music Director Louis Scaglione invite you to join the Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra on Sunday, May 17th at 3 pm for its Annual Festival Concert in Perleman Theater at the Kimmel Center. Conductor Rosalind Erwin leads the orchestra and features Weber’s Overture to Oberon, Holst’s Ballet Music to The Perfect Fool, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capricio Espagnol.

WRTI is partnering with the PYO to draw attention to the many talented and dedicated music educators in the Delaware Valley, and is now seeking nominees for its second annual Ovation Award for Inspiration and Outstanding Leadership in Music Education.
