The Philadelphians in Concert on WRTI: Vivaldi's THE FOUR SEASONS, August 24th at 1 PM

Antonio Vivaldi (1678—1741). His first four violin concerti, known as "The Four Seasons," were composed in 1723.

This Sunday at 1 pm on WRTI, it's a delightful re-broadcast of a Philadelphia Orchestra program from last November at Verizon Hall, which begins with Vivaldi’s famous four violin concerti known as "The Four Seasons," as vivid today as they were nearly 300 years ago. Violinist Giuliano Carmignola joins Richard Egarr, two of the foremost early-music specialists in the world today, for performances of these works.
