It's a Jingle Bell Jazz Christmas on WRTI!

Dec 15, 2016

Where can you find the perfect jazz soundtrack to add comfort and joy to your holiday season? You guessed it! As we inch closer to Christmas, you'll hear more and more of the classic holiday jazz you love on WRTI.

WRTI invites you to experience The Crossing chamber choir’s 2015 Christmas concert, The Crossing @ Christmas, recorded live on December 18th at The Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill.

This annual performance is known for creating an aura of tranquility, and has become a holiday tradition for many vocal music lovers throughout our region. You can hear this year’s concert on WRTI - on the radio or online - on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, 2 to 4 pm

Our Philadelphia Orchestra in Concert broadcast should be a wonderful accompaniment to your holiday activities this Sunday, December 20th at 1 pm! It’s the Philadelphia Orchestra’s annual Glorious Sound of Christmas concert, a tradition since the orchestra recorded its best-selling Glorious Sound of Christmas album in 1962.

Amid the ubiquitous din of annual chestnuts like "Jingle Bells" and "Let it Snow," you may be surprised to learn that people are actually writing new holiday songs. And as it turns out, some of them are pretty great.

Tune in to WRTI between now and January 1st as we sprinkle in your favorite seasonal jazz to accompany our regular programming.
