Trinity Requiem on Now is the Time

Sycamore Root Sculpture, Ground Zero

For the 11th anniversary of 9/11, listen to a work written for its 10th anniversary, on Now is the Time, Sunday, September 9th at 10 pm. The Ground Zero church, Trinity Wall Street, commissioned Robert Moran’s Trinity Requiem. We’ll hear the haunting work for youth chorus, cellos, harp, and organ, and listen to the composer in a revealing interview.

Trinity Wall Street commissioned Robert Moran’s Trinity Requiem for the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 destruction of New York’s World Trade Center. Moran has written music for entire cities to perform—San Francisco, Graz, Bethlehem, Pa.—with cars, airplanes, multiple orchestras, choirs, and bands joining in raucous mélanges of celebration. You wonder what he would write for a city’s terror.
