Jazz with Jeff Duperon

WRTI continues a long-standing relationship with the Berks Jazz Fest, which runs from April 5th through the 14th in Reading, PA. Jeff Duperon will broadcast live from the Berks on BOTH Friday and Saturday nights of the Festival, and Bob Perkins will bring you some "GM" in the AM from Reading on Sunday, April 7th.

Jazz drummer Bruce Klauber is premiering a brand-new jazz column, "The Jazz Scene," in the March edition of ICON, the local cutting-edge arts magazine.

Spend the Thanksgiving holiday with WRTI as we page through the Great American Songbook to celebrate one of the great American holidays!  From Gershwin and Porter compositions to tunes that the jazz giants made standard, these great pieces will be the perfect companion to your Thanksgiving feast.  You'll hear the greatest singers and bandleaders of jazz along with contemporary arrangements of these popular tunes.

We'll kick off the festivities at 6 pm on Thanksgiving and continue through Saturday morning. Join us as we give thanks for great music!

Tune in this Friday from 6 to 10 pm, and Saturday from 6 to 9 pm as Jeff Duperon celebrates the triumphant return of jazz to Cape May, NJ with two live broadcasts from the Inaugural Exit 0 International Jazz Festival.

Bassist, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Marcus Miller will discuss his new release, Renaissance, Friday, September 21st at 6:45 pm. Marcus is performing Sunday, September 23rd at World Café Live in Philadelphia. 

Best known for his work with Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock, Marcus has also maintained a prolific solo career.  Tune in for an in-depth conversation!
