Your Stories From Hurricane Sandy
By WRTI Staff
A WRTI member from Blue Bell, PA was comforted and entertained by WRTI's jazz programming during the storm.
Does this image look familiar? This photo was taken at around 8:30 pm on Monday night while one of our members in Blue Bell was listening to jazz on WRTI in the dark by candlelight. A good ol' transistor radio did the trick! A Wes Montgomery tune ("Come Rain or Come Shine") and Zivit's friendly voice, kept her and her family company when the electricity first went off and the wind was howling outside. "It was very comforting for all of us," she said in an email.
We hope you also found comfort listening to WRTI during Hurricane Sandy. Do you have a story to tell? Please share it with all of our listeners at the bottom of this post. Thanks!
