WRTI's Debra Lew Harder Performs at One Book, One Jewish Community Music Salon, May 3 at 7 PM

WRTI's Debra Lew Harder

Renowned local composer Andrea Clearfield hosts a discussion of the music salon in 18th-century Germany, and Trio MiReSol—with pianist Debra Lew Harder—plays music of J.S. Bach and Fanny Mendelssohn on Wednesday, May 3rd at 7 pm at Ivy Hall.

This year's One Book, One Jewish Community selection is And After The Fire by NYT best-selling author Lauren Belfer. It's a novel about two women, one European and one American, and the mysterious choral masterpiece by Johann Sebastian Bach that changes both their lives. The story traverses over 200 years of history, from the 18th century through the Holocaust to today.

Trio MiReSol includes Debra Lew Harder, piano; Michal Schmidt, cello; Min-Young Kim, violin

This OBOJC Salon is at Ivy Hall, 6331 Lancaster Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19151 in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia, near City Line Avenue. Register here.

Admission is $25/person. Light refreshments will be served.
