WRTI Announces New Frequency in Chester County

For listeners in Coatesville, West Chester, Thorndale, Downingtown, Kennett Square, and almost all of western Chester County, there's reason to celebrate. A new WRTI frequency is now up and running. It's WRTJ, and can be found at 89.3 on the FM dial.

"WRTI's signal to the west has always been spotty," says WRTI General Manager Dave Conant. "And thanks to the continuing support of our members, we now have increased coverage to this area. WRTJ (89.3 FM) broadcasts all of WRTI's programming in both analog and digital HD forms. Our HD-2 signal will follow in a few months."

With this expansion of service, WRTI has grown to include 14 frequencies serving listeners in Philadelphia, Reading, Allentown, Wilmington, Harrisburg, York, Lancaster, Ephrata, Lebanon, Mount Pocono, Wilkes-Barre, Pottsville, Scranton, Ocean City, Dover, and now Coatesville.

As a mission-based public radio station, WRTI strives to bring classical music and jazz to as many people in Philadelphia's tri-state region as possible. Every member of WRTI is part of this community effort. Thank you for supporting the music!
