Chanukah in Story and Song:
Western Wind Vocal Ensemble with Narrator Leonard Nimoy
On this week's Crossover, we're celebrating the Festival of Lights with a delightfully engaging program! You'll hear an eclectic mix of music ranging from Ladino songs of the Spanish Jews and Yiddish melodies of Eastern Europe, to modern Israeli tunes and the ensemble's original version of "I Have a Little Dreydle." The ensemble performs a cappella as well as with instrumental accompaniment. The narration, written by Rabbi Gerald Skolnik, sheds new light on the holiday's customs and rituals.
Watch and Listen: "Ocho Kandelikas" (eight little candles) by Flory Jagoda and sung in Ladino
