As America's first president is considered through the material culture of two of his households - one at Mount Vernon and one in Philadelphia - WRTI's Susan Lewis looks at the man behind the myth. NEW VIEWS FROM MOUNT VERNON, and THE PRESIDENT'S HOUSE: THE UNTOLD STORY IN QUILTS run through September 5th at the Nat'l Constitution Center.

Susan writes and produces stories about music and the arts. She’s host and producer of WRTI’s TIME IN online interview series, and contributes weekly intermission interviews for The Philadelphia Orchestra in Concert series. She’s also been a regular host of WRTI’s Live from the Performance Studio sessions.
