Join Jill Pasternak and special guests for a centennial tribute to West Chester, Pennsylvania native Samuel Barber. Featured this week are faculty members of West Chester University College of Visual and Performing Arts including pianist Carl Cranmer, cellist and conductor Ovidiu Marinescu, and baritone Randall Scarlatta. Other guest artists are Mimi Stillman, flutist, and Charles Abramovic, pianist. Ms. Stillman is the founder and director of the Dolce Suono Chamber Music Concert Series. Mr. Abramovic, a member of the Dolce Suono Trio, is also a professor of piano at Temple University.
A Samuel Barber Festival is being held throughout the year in Chester County in deference to the area's favorite musical son.
