Riverwalk Jazz: A Night at Nick's - Hot Jazz in the Big Apple

Sunday, September 6
6 to 7 pm

The Jim Cullum Jazz Band takes you back in time to the legendary jazz nightclub, Nick's Steak House in Greenwich Village. For more than three decades, from the 30's to the 60's, veteran jazzmen such as Bobby Hackett, Eddie Condon, Mugsy Spanier and Pee Wee Russell played, and crowds gathered at "the place" in downtown Manhattan to hear classic hot, improvised jazz. Listen and Look: Riverwalk Jazz re-visits the jazz scene at Nick's in the '30s, '40s, '50s, and '60s with archival photos and the help of listeners who were there.
