The performance we’ll hear is considered by many the finest recording of the work ever made—the 1956 La Boheme conducted by Sir Thomas Beecham.
An all-star cast includes Victoria de los Angeles as Mimi, Jussi Björling as Rodolfo, and a cast that includes Robert Merrill, Giorgio Tozzi, and Lucine Amara.
