Conductor Laureate Ignat Solzhenitsyn leads The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia in two works on this month's Applause! broadcast. Benjamin Britten's tribute to his teacher, the Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge, will open the program. The work, written in 1937, brought Britten international attention.
