Metropolitan Opera Season Begins on WRTI at a New Time

The Met Opera's season of broadcasts–the longest-running continuous classical program in radio history–just began its 78th season. WRTI will bring Lincoln Center to your living room, car, kitchen, or wherever you happen to be tuning in, every Saturday afternoon from now until April 25.

Broadcasts will begin at various times in December–between 11 am and 1 pm. Please check the WRTI website each week, or refer to your WRTI Monthly E-Newsletter, for start times.

From January until April, most operas will begin at 1 pm, a half-hour earlier than last season.

Look forward to twenty-two broadcasts with Margaret Juntwait returning as host, joined by commentator Ira Siff.Click here for more information about the Metropolitan Opera's 2008/2009 Radio Broadcast Season
