Meet The Philadelphia Orchestra's New Assistant Conductor

Conductor Lio Kuokman, a native of Macau, becomes The Philadlelphia Orchestra's assistant conductor in September, 2014.

As The Philadelphia Orchestra opens its new season in September 2014, the ensemble will have a new assistant conductor on board. As WRTI’s Susan Lewis reports, the Hong Kong-trained musician has garnered international acclaim this summer.

The Philadelphia Orchestra opens its 2014/2015 season on September 26th with pianist Lang Lang, and Yannick Nezet-Seguin on the podium.
