WRTI will close out the summer with another nostalgic weekend featuring the best jazz vocalists and the big bands that keep you swinging.
We'll kick things off on Friday night and continue through Tuesday morning bringing you the classic vocal tunes you know and love, along with the band leaders that go way back. You'll also hear some contemporary big bands, such as the Buselli-Wallarab Jazz Orchestra and the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra featuring jazz legend Jimmy Heath. Both have new albums out that give nods to the greats, with arrangements of favorites as well as original pieces of music. Be sure to tune in - you can't find these timeless sounds anywhere else on the radio!
