On Giving Tuesday, Support WRTI 90.1 and Musicopia at the Same Time!

Your gift to WRTI on Giving Tuesday will be matched by The Rothman Institute and a group of anonymous donors in support of Musicopia.

Your contribution to WRTI on Giving Tuesday, November 28th, will also support Musicopia. How? The Rothman Institute and a group of anonymous donors have stepped up to match every gift to WRTI on Giving Tuesday with an equal gift to Musicopia. Contributing to WRTI on Giving Tuesday reaches into the community in a way that’s unlike any other day of the year. How do you contribute? Donate Here on Tuesday only, or call 1-866-809-9784.

Musicopia is a non-profit organization dedicated to rebuilding and revitalizing school music programs in the Philadelphia region. Working with a roster of nearly 100 professional ensembles and solo musicians of the highest caliber, Musicopia brings interactive music education and performance opportunities to thousands of students in Pre-K through 12th grade annually.

“We at Rothman are proud to partner with Musicopia and WRTI on this special international day of giving," says Dr. Alex Vaccaro, president of Rothman Institute Orthopaedics. "Rothman has supported Musicopia since 2014, and we believe in the powerful impact of music and arts education, especially for those children who may otherwise not have access. Giving the gift of music is invaluable on so many levels, and we are happy to match gifts to WRTI, up to $5,000, in support of Musicopia.”

What does WRTI share with Musicopia? The love of music. And the knowledge that music can transform lives and bring joy to so many people. We’re asking you to stand up for both organizations on Giving Tuesday. Can we count on you? Contribute Here or call 1-866-809-9784. Thanks so much!

"We extend our warmest appreciation to WRTI for joining hands with Musicopia on this special day of international giving," says Denise Kinney, executive director of Musicopia. "We are proud to partner with one of the top public radio stations in the country."

In addition to Musicopia’s in-school assembly and residency programs, the organization also runs the successful Gift of Music instrument donation program. More information about Musicopia.
