COLM WILKENSON, vocalist

This week on Crossover, Jill speaks with singer, composer and star of the musical stage, Colm Wilkinson. A man of many musical talents, Wilkinson moved from pop in the 70's in his native Ireland to international fame as the original Jean Valjean in the London and Broadway productions of Les Miserables, and the phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera. They'll discuss his long career and his newest CD release Some of My Best Friends are Songs.Crossover with Jill Pasternak is WRTI's weekly interview show spotlighting notable music and musicians. While the show centers on the worlds of classical music and true, acoustically-driven jazz, it's not unusual to hear music and personalities from the periphery as well.

Crossover is totally unscripted and spontaneous, so it sounds like nothing else on the dial--more like friends chatting over coffee than a broadcast interview.
