Christiane Amanpour Discusses the Role of International Journalism in the World Today
Philadelphia, PA – WRTI News Director Windsor Johnston speaks with Christiane Amanpour, CNN's chief international correspondent. Included on the Forbes list of The 100 Most Powerful Women, and the winner of nine Emmy and two Peabody Awards, Amanpour has spent the last two decades telling stories from conflict zones from around the world. She talks about the dangers overseas journalists face, the importance of understanding foreign issues, and the state of the world today. Amanpour spoke as part of the 2007-2008 Philadelphia Speakers Series presented by Widener University and sponsored by WRTI.
