BP Kicks Off the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival

Clifford Brown

Join Bob Perkins on Wednesday, June 18th at 6 pm as he broadcasts live from opening night of the 2014 Clifford Brown Jazz Festival in Wilmington. The Brownie-Roach Project, an all-star quartet dedicated to honoring the memory of the festival’s namesake,  is this year's opening act. The ensemble includes trumpeter Jeremy Pelt, bassist Ray Drummond, drummer Louis Hayes, and pianist Sharp Radway. Vocalist and pianist Dianne Schuur follows The Brownie-Roach Project, performing songs from her new album, I Remember You.

Tune in to hear BP speak to some of the performers and festival contributors from Wilmington, as well as the great jazz you tune in for each and every night. The Clifford Brown Jazz Festival runs from June 18th to 21st. More information here.
