BOO! Music for a Very Scary Halloween on WRTI 90.1

Oct 30, 2017

Halloween is here, so join us for some deliciously spooky classical music and jazz all day long on October 31st.

Your day will be a ghostly one with Liszt's Totentanz (Dance of Death) for piano and orchestra, Bach’s most frightening work, the Toccata and Fugue in D minor, and the magic of Dukas's Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Berlioz' Symphonie Fantastique, with its beheading and final Witches Sabbath will provide chills as the day goes on.

Rachmaninoff will take us on a trip to the Isle of the Dead, and you'll hear devilish music including La Casa del Diavolo by Boccherini. We invite you to join us...if you dare!

WRTI Jazz will feature a mix of sweet and spooky this Halloween night. Spells will turn to candy, witch hunts will lead to to stolen sweets, and ghosts will spook the wrapper right off of a lemon drop! BP kicks off "This Masquerade" at 6 pm, so let WRTI 90.1 be the soundtrack to your evening!
