The Medieval music ensemble Sequentiais performing an all-Hildegard von Bingen concert in Philadelphia on January 29th at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul at 7:30 pm. As David Patrick Stearns reports, there are some interesting local angles: Philadelphia once had a chamber music group and a publishing house named after Hildegard, who - only in recent years - has finally been declared a saint, and is as much a feminist icon as ever.
